Ready to stretch your leadership skills while enjoying an unforgettable Easter at Cooinda?
Easter Camp 2026 is all about learning, leading, and exploring together. Through practical
activities, shared challenges, and time in the outdoors, we’ll build the leadership skills that
make Cooinda programs work — supporting campers, working as a team, and stepping up
when it matters.
This year’s highlight is an overnight expedition to the Nicholson River, where we’ll put those
skills into practice and trial some new expedition menus. Expect good company, fresh air,
and plenty of classic Cooinda moments along the way.
Expedition Options
The Nicholson River expedition is the centrepiece of the weekend, with a few ways to take part:
- The big paddle (weather permitting)
A longer canoe journey (25km, weather permitting) toward one of Cooinda’s favourite spots on the Gippsland Lakes — perfect for those keen to build paddling skills and enjoy a bigger adventure. - The Launch cruise
Prefer a cruisier option? Join the trip aboard the Launch and still be part of the expedition. - Cabin comfort at mainsite
Not feeling the overnight trip? Stay at Cooinda mainsite, enjoy the Banksia Peninsula, and take part in leadership activities and community time.
However you join in, Easter Camp is about learning together and enjoying time in the Cooinda community.
Food & Expectations
All meals are provided throughout the program, and we can accommodate dietary requirements — just let us know when you apply. Over the weekend everyone gets a chance to be involved in preparing meals and cleaning up afterwards.
Participants may not consume alcohol or possess or use illegal drugs at Camp Cooinda.
